Your Mardi Himal adventure starts with a scenic 50-minute drive from Pokhara to Kande. The trek begins along a quiet mountain road, where you’ll cross dusty trails often used by mountain bikers. As you climb the stone staircases, glimpses of Australian Camp appear high above the ridge—an area home to Brahmin, Chhetri, and a few Gurung communities.
Throughout the trek, you’ll enjoy beautiful views of the Annapurna and Manaslu ranges. The stone steps add excitement to the journey, and the landscapes make your overnight stay in Deurali peaceful and memorable.

After breakfast, continue your ascent toward Low Camp, located at 3,150m. The trail offers beautiful rhododendron forests and impressive views of the majestic Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Mountain). As the trek climbs higher, you enter the cloud forest filled with mosses, lichen, orchids, and tree ferns.
Enjoy breathtaking views of Mt. Machhapuchhre, Mardi Himal, and the Annapurna range right from your room. Low Camp has only a few lodges, but they provide excellent amenities like Wi-Fi and hot showers.

Start early to catch a beautiful sunrise as you ascend toward Mardi Himal Base Camp. The trail follows a grassy ridge with a few steep sections but is manageable. Watch for dzokpos (yak–cow hybrids), Danphe pheasants, and herders’ huts along the way.
After enjoying the breathtaking mountain views at the base camp, begin a long descent through forests, terraced fields, and charming rural landscapes. Follow the Mardi Khola past suspension bridges and traditional farms until you reach the quiet village of Siding for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, walk through several small villages as you leave the mountains behind.
