Poon Hill trekking 4 days route
The 4 days Poon Hill trek route starts from Pokhara and drives to Nayapul at an altitude of 1,090 m. Our 4 days and four days trekking itinerary follows the path of lovely terraces. We trek through rhododendron forests, ascending to 3,210 meters to witness a beautiful sunrise view.
First, we began our walks and ascended the stairs to Tikhedhunga. We will meet the local Magars and Gurungs before reaching the foothills of Ulleri village. The route map follows the lovely stone staircase at Ulleri before we arrive at Ghorepani. The trail is flat with no steep ascents or descents.
Our Poon Hill trek 4-day itinerary takes you through different bridges. We pass waterfalls in the deep forest exhibiting diverse flora and fauna. From Ghorepani, we will trek to Poon Hill early in the morning to witness the most spectacular views of the mountain ranges.
Descending from Poon Hill, we will head to Tadapani following our trekking route map. Then, we will take a flat downhill trail to the famous Gurung village of Ghandruk.
Furthermore, we can also take a different route map from Ghandruk. You can take the easy alternate walk to the Jhinu hot spring, Landruk. If you want to escape the challenging uphill ascents of Ulleri, you can take a drive.

After breakfast at your hotel in Pokhara, your trekking guide will meet and brief you about the 4-day Poon Hill trek.
You’ll begin with a 1.5-hour drive to Nayapul, followed by a short walk to Birethanti (1,000 m), where your ACAP permit will be checked.
From there, the real trek starts as you climb through stone steps, passing small villages like Sudame (lunch stop) and Hile, before reaching Tikhedhunga.
You’ll spend the first night at a local guesthouse.

After breakfast, cross the suspension bridge over the Tikhedhunga River and continue along Bhurungdi Khola.
The trail then climbs over 3,000 stone steps to Ulleri (2,080 m), a Magar village.
From Ulleri, the path ascends gently through pastures, farmlands, and rhododendron forests.
You’ll reach Ghorepani (2,775 m), a beautiful village famous for its panoramic mountain views.

Wake up early and hike to Poon Hill (3,210 m) to catch a spectacular sunrise over the Himalayas.
Enjoy breathtaking views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and other peaks.
After returning to Ghorepani for breakfast, trek through lush forests and scenic ridges to Tadapani.
This trail offers rich birdlife and a beautiful sunset view. Overnight at Tadapani.

After breakfast, descend through rhododendron forests toward Bhaise Kharka, possibly spotting monkeys and birds.
Continue downhill to Ghandruk, a large Gurung village known for its culture and mountain views of Annapurna and Fishtail.
After lunch, follow the trail to Nayapul, from where a private vehicle will take you back to Pokhara.
Your 4-day Poon Hill Trek concludes as you return to your hotel.
